about me
who i am
section titled “who i am”i am jon imanol ruiz hermoso.
but before all that, i was a child surrounded by dinosaurs.
the beginning
section titled “the beginning”
> yes, that's me
i don’t remember exactly when it started.
but i do remember this:
i had more dinosaur toys than anything else.
they were everywhere.
in the room, on the floor, on the table.
i lined them up, mixed them, made up stories with them.
for me they weren’t just toys.
they were a way to imagine a world that no longer exists.
what really caught me
section titled “what really caught me”over time i understood that it wasn’t just a game.
i was fascinated by thinking that all that had really existed.
it wasn’t fantasy.
it was history.
a completely different world from ours,
reconstructed from bones, clues and science.
what remained over time
section titled “what remained over time”many things change.
but there are things that don’t disappear, they just evolve.
that curiosity is still there.
only now it doesn’t stay in playing, but in understanding.
about “denosaurios”
section titled “about “denosaurios””it is pronounced:
/de.no.sauˈɾjos/
(de-no-SAU-rios)
the name comes from a small word play.
on one hand, it comes from “dinosaurios”.
on the other, from deno, one of the technologies i use to build the web.
i liked the idea of uniting something very technical with something that has fascinated me forever.
something familiar, but with a small own twist.
why i do this
section titled “why i do this”because, deep down, i am still that child.
only now, instead of playing with figures,
i try to reconstruct that world in another way.
this is not an encyclopedia.
it is a way not to lose that curiosity.
